12 So then, brothers,[e] we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. 13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

| 0:15.3 | because it's the power of God through His Holy Spirit that dwells in us. |
| 0:21.2 | That's the truth that the apostle Paul revealed to us. And he's saying he will |
| 0:25.3 | give life to our mortal bodies. That means he will help us to overcome the |

| 0:36.0 | mortal flesh. Now there's something we need to maybe clarify today as we talk |

| 0:45.3 | mortal body itself is evil it doesn't mean that there are philosophies from the |
| 0:51.2 | past where people believed that the body was evil the |
| 0:54.5 | spirit was good and therefore they should abuse their bodies or they should |
| 0:58.3 | neglect their bodies or they should just not give much concern to their bodies |
