Our guest today is Dave Rubin.

He's the creator and host of the popular talk show The Rubin Report,

which often features guests who are critical of the mainstream media. He also performed stand-up comedy in cities

across the United States, and together with Jordan Peterson, he traveled the world to help promote

Peterson's book, Twelve Rules for Life. And we'll be speaking with him today about its new book,

Don't Burn This Book, Thinking for Yourself in an age of unreason. And now here's our

Okay, so based on my research, I have a list here of some of your favorite science fiction.

So we've got Star Wars, Contact, Battle Star Galactica, The Matrix, Back to the Future, Total Recall,

Interstellar, Minority Report, and A Skinner Darkly.

So is that a pretty good list of some of your favorite stuff?

It's funny, as you're telling me the list,

I'm going, those are all pretty solid movies. Yeah, that's a lot of it right there you can see I have a definite like Philip K Dick

dystopian part of me you know the the Star Wars part is sort of the childhood mystical, magical part.

And then I like, you know, the combination of those, I would say, you know, minority report is like sort of mystical whoa what could

happen with the future and then and then it really goes dystopian but I love

sci-fi movies I love time travel movies I love you know anything that just makes us think about what tomorrow will be like.
