| 0:00.0 | Good morning, good afternoon or good evening, whatever time of day it is for you. |
| 0:08.0 | My hope is that you're starting your day with the morning mindset as a part of what you do to get your mind aligned with the |
| 0:15.5 | truth of God and I say it that way because I know some of you work a swing shift |
| 0:18.7 | some of you start your day later in the day than the rest of us. But that's okay. You can start your process of |
| 0:26.4 | thinking and working into a day with the truth of God and I hope the morning |
| 0:31.6 | mindset is a part of that. We have been |
| 0:33.7 | camping for a bit in Romans chapter 8 verses 6 through 8 talking about the |

| 1:09.5 | wish for it long enough it will come true and become true of me. Now there's a slight little kernel of |
| 1:16.5 | truth to that because we've already talked about how what we focus on is what |
| 1:20.0 | we gravitate toward and God has designed us that way. But folks, I can focus on becoming |
| 1:27.8 | a six foot 11 black guy who plays basketball in the NBA all I want and it's not going to become true. |
| 1:36.0 | I don't say that to play fast and loose with the concept. I say that to drive home a point. There is a limitation |
| 1:46.9 | to what a worldly form of affirmations can produce and the reason is twofold. Number one, if what you are focusing on is an |
| 1:57.8 | impossibility like the example that I just gave to you, then it's never going to happen. You're wasting your time, |
| 2:05.9 | your energy, you're wasting your focus. But secondly, if what you focus on is simply not true, as I mentioned before, your mind is smart enough |
