Summary
When we discovered toxic black mold in our apartment in 2012, we moved out *immediately*. Nick literally exited the building and never went back, while I returned only in a full haz-mat suit in order to pack the few things that hadn’t been infected with toxic spores or that could be properly cleaned. The experience shook us both deeply. Not only did we have to leave our home and many of our belongings behind, but Nick’s health had been severely impacted for nearly a year, and we’d had no idea why.
