a member of the National Steering Committee of Elders Climate Action.

We're going to talk a lot about Elders Climate Action today, but briefly,

the Elders Climate Action Group is a nationwide nonpartisan group

committed and determined to change our

nation's policies while there is still time about the

catastrophic issues of global warming in the Earth's climate.

Our guest today for the Elders Climate Action Group is Hazel Chandler.

Hazel Chandler is herself an advocate, a long-time volunteer in support of health and many other organizations.

Like our guest, I am not a climate scientist, and neither of us have all the answers about the

subject of global warming. But countless organizations

have studied this issue measured with scientific process to determine that the

links of global warming to extreme weather, forest fires, oceans rising, the greenhouse effect,

and many other related areas are transforming our planet.

I'm a full member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and every issue of the magazine Science

discusses glacial melting, Antarctic collapse, and the world's coastlines sinking.

This has convinced me that this is an issue I want to discuss with you,

our not old better show audience.

And hopefully, over the course of several shows addressing this subject

we'll understand it and learn together what we can do along with our younger brothers
