Welcome to a thoughtful faith podcast. This is Sarah Colette and today I'm excited to be joined by

two really wonderful individuals. J. Griffith, who is going to be a part of the

interviewing process with us today, he's helped me set up this interview and I'm really grateful

and so he's here and he'll be asking some of the questions and we are also joined by Jim McConkey

and we're in his home today and I want to thank you for letting us come in. It was nice to

have you here. And the way we'll start today is all I want J to introduce himself a little bit

and then we'll go ahead and start with the actual podcast so welcome everyone.

Thank you Sarah. I appreciate the chance to be involved in this. I've only been exposed to a

thoughtful faith in Mormon stories for about about a month and I've thoroughly enjoyed them and

and now a contributor and encourage anybody listening to also be a regular contributor.

I have a good fortune of living down the street from Jim and he's my family's home teacher

which is how I got to know him better. I actually knew his daughter-in-law before that for

a number of years and very impressed with her also but I grew up in Oregon and served the mission

in Michigan and I have three children that I've given the church. All my life, although I've had some

times where I've cried of crisis of faith and questioned the existence of God and what his

character is. I'm currently the immense president in my ward and which I think is the best job in

the church. I love doing that and that's about me going to Jim. All right that's one's wonderful.
