and ADHD Overlapped Symptoms, Misconceptions, and Interventions.

ADHD is a language-based learning disability characterized by difficulties with reading

and spelling.

Dislexia occurs in up to 17% of people with ADHD, but it can also be confused for ADHD.

Though the two conditions do share some common traits, they are distinct and require different

treatment approaches.

Today's webinar will explore the similarities and differences between ADHD and Dislexia.

We'll discuss effective interventions for children with both conditions and how these

strategies differ from those used with students who have either ADHD or Dislexia.

Leading today's presentation is Dr. Cheryl Chase.

Dr. Chase is a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice near Cleveland, Ohio.

She specializes in the diagnostic and neuropsychological assessment of various conditions affecting

children, adolescents, and young adults, including ADHD, pervasive developmental disorders,

learning disorders, and emotional concerns.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Chase is also an accomplished speaker at the local

and national levels, leading workshops on executive functioning, Dislexia, and Disgraphia,

and on creative ways to support those who struggle in school.

Finally, Dr. Chase serves as an edjunct instructor at several colleges in the Cleveland area.

She's an active member of the International Dislexia Association, the American Psychological

Association, and the Learning Disabilities Association of America.
