best and worst calls of twenty twenty three right now on fantasy football today in five so we just did an hour

0:42.5

and 10 minutes on this subject basically on the full length show where dave jamie and heath gave

0:46.7

their best and worst calls so we're going to change it up in case you listen to that one

0:50.6

i'm going to give my two best calls and my two worst calls of the 2023 season.

0:56.4

And, you know, probably a lot to choose from in both categories. So I don't know if these

0:59.9

are the very best and very worst. But Jamie, my number one best call was I drafted a lot of

1:05.8

Travis E.T.N. So I know it didn't end well for him necessarily, but I still think I would call him a very good draft pick.

1:13.7

I love the talent.

1:15.2

I bought into the offense, which kind of worked out despite the offense not being so great.

1:19.7

But really, he was the unquestioned lead running back there, was not bothered by Tank Bigsby, and, you know, did enough in the passing game. So that was one that I celebrate. And, you know, just a young, talented running back, I always gravitate toward those guys. Yeah, I think he didn't have the breakout season that, you know, I think, I know I was hoping for. I'm sure you as well, but was definitely serviceable, you know, and so when you set your lineup every week. You didn't have any questions, even some tough matchups, you're still starting him. You didn't have to worry about workload, you know, did enough in the passing game, did enough of the goal line, really never came off the field, didn't have a lot of injury concerns. So yes, you know, I think you look at him as a successful fantasy option and somebody that worked out well for you.

2:02.2

The other one that my other best call, this is intentional, was Travis E. T.N.

2:08.6

When I called him a cell high when he was the number two running back in fantasy at about the

2:13.7

midpoint of the season. And I was pleased with the production, but disappointed with the way it was happening. He was averaging about four yards per carry. You just don't see the number two running back in fantasy averaging four yards per carry. And he had had a pretty soft schedule. I had noticed that when he had faced tough opponents, he had struggled. And I looked at his remaining schedule. It was really tough. So I called him a sell high. I can't say that I sold them. I didn't. I wish I had. But I will take a quasi-victory lap. I will walk it. Because I did call him to sell high. I was met with some skepticism. I don't think you could take this as a win. Why? If you didn't sell higher, so. Because I don't make that many trades. You know, we have so many leagues. It's not that easy to make trades. But I did say, I did point out, he was not going to have that great of a thing. You know, I was on that. And nobody believed me. And it happened. So he was a win for the season.

3:08.7

Yes.
