And the inspiration behind this show was that we're approaching the 500th anniversary of the Reformation when

Luther nailed the 95 thesis to the door at Vittenberg and so we thought it would be

really helpful to distinguish a little bit about what's the difference and what

unites Catholics and

Protestants and Dr. Allison has written widely, studied widely, and he's lived a

full life engaging with Catholics from an evangelical perspective and so we

think that this conversation is immensely helpful in drawing out

some of the similarities and key differences between Catholics and Protestants

and then giving us some opportunities to consider together how we can more fully and

fruitfully engage our Catholic neighbors and brothers and sisters. We hope that

Dr. Allison is professor of Christian theology at Southern Seminary. Dr. Allison is professor of Christian theology at Southern

Seminary and prior to joining the faculty of Southern, Dr. Allison was a professor at

Western Seminary and prior to that he served with campus crusade for Christ

for 18 years and was a missionary in Italy and

Switzerland.
