Can I just say how satisfying it was to watch her get them together? It made me feel really good, Shannon.

We call that a gathering gathering these men folk in the bar. I also love this scene because it's like let this work as a take down of the idea that black people are monoliths.

Like politically as far as community, we have like three different people and three different very strong reactions to a situation that is partly informed by white supremacy.

We are not a monolith. We have arguments. We should be able to do that. And then you know come together and go on an epic road trip.

And this is the episode where things really turn for some of our heroes. I hope y'all are ready to dive into this with us.

So Shannon, this episode I, this was a rough one for me, but also one that I see that it's driving us forward.

I'm excited to see where the rest of the story goes. You know, usually on this podcast, we pick apart a couple different themes from the episode.

Right. But I really want to dig into the nitty gritty of what I thought might be the overarching theme of the episode, which was explaining how each character thinks you beat white supremacy.
