That first hour flew past.

Had a lot to get to between Florida State baseball, between the closing of the portal window for people to enter their name and the additions

and those that we talked about and really the overall plight of Florida State.

Actually, I can marry it to whatever the other big stories of the day were certainly out of

the draft.

I looked big picture and brought it back home and I'll start there because the draft is behind us.

And 257 players, 257 players are taken, so we always get a chance to put a ribbon on this

thing afterwards. We won't know for three, four years, who did well, who didn't do well.

We all have an opinion on who we thought drafted well.

I tend to want to get into the larger discussion, kind of being geeky about the draft with not necessarily saying, well, this player was the right player or that player was the wrong player.

We all have opinions on that.

But rather, was the approach by said team the right

approach, given their needs, given who was on the board? That's a more interesting way to

debate a draft because we've all learned, and so have those executives that a guy you think

can't play sometimes can and a guy you think can definitely play sometimes can't. And every degree in between, right?
