And I know for many people it's hard to think about long-term future today, but I want

When we hit the roughest time with the great recession following the banking scandals

in 7, 8, 9, that really from 07, we didn't make a full recovery till 2015.

It took eight years for the economy to get back to where it had been.

But there's one thing that some people did that others didn't, that made a big difference

in where their wallets ended up.

And that is people who back then panic-sold their investments in a retirement account,

or an investment account, ended up suffering permanent financial loss.

On the other hand, those who just sucked it up and stayed in ended up doing not okay.
