One final thing on the spring of apathy, the spring of indifference.

Not the spring of revolution, but the spring of indifference and apathy that the Florida

state fan feels downtrodden as we are.

I pushed back at the time and I'm pushing back again here.

You cannot convince me that any given cycle in which you are in the market to hire coaches

isn't a good one. There are good coaches all over the country. They exist everywhere.

Finding the right fit, pushing the right buttons, investing properly in NIL,

understanding what NIL is, fostering good relationships with the agents who push the talent to your university

because you are forward thinking and modernized and your approach to

NIL is what's going to dictate whether or not that coach a huge name or not succeeds.

You got to feel for fit.

You got to have an idea and a vision that you agree with.

And you've got to be on the same page with how

modern football is run in the way that you accrue talent. There has to be a commitment to

evaluation, development, and recruiting the high school ranks, just as there has to be a

commitment to spending the money on the better players. Understanding roster construction's important.

Where does allocate these funds? I understand that you just can't spin top notch for the top five

players at every position in the country. You have to recognize what your roster has some of,

what has very little of, and what has an abundance of, and decide to pick and choose

these important areas in which you can bolster the roster by paying significant amounts of

money to that quarterback, that tied in, that defense to tackle, that left tackle, whatever
