I guess if I had to summarize what I'm trying to ask is it's the following.

I want to say to you, Dr. Hancock, that I have deep respect for somebody who says, I want

to be a defender of religion.

I want to be a defender of spirituality.

I also have deep respect for someone who says, I want to be a defender of conservativism,

of not changing too quickly, of respecting the past.

sometimes we can change in a way that harms us.

I want to say to you that I respect all that and I see a value in it and I think we need

that and I think you're playing a very important role in discourse.

What I'm trying to get a sense from you is can you concede and even have respect for

the opposition, which is the group of people that say things that are wrong, there are things

that need changing, there are things that are problematic and even though we stand up

for those things at risk, sometimes it's difficult, but these are the agents of positive

change, as well as potentially negative change.
