Our guest today is Nicky Drayden. Her short fiction appears in magazines such

as Shimmer, Daily Science Fiction and Space and Time and on podcast such as Pseudopod and The Drabblecast.

As a college student, she traveled to South Africa, which is the setting for her first two novels, The Pray of Gods and

Temper.

And we'll be speaking with her today about her new novel escaping exodus,

about a matriarchal society that lives inside a massive space-going beast.

Thank you so much for having me.

Okay, so how did you first get interested in fantasy and science fiction?

I think I've always been interested in science fiction and fantasy.
