Now on the road, he's a novelist

in Lancaster, meeting a man in a plane into South Bend, whose job it is to drive big RVs,

expensive RVs, from the maker dealership near South Bend to wherever in the United States are

ordered. This time, Jim had and Medi Media is coming back

from Florida. Jim's turn, however, is what does this mean for the economy? Big RVs moving

at this time of year. Here's Jim McTague to explain on a flight from Harrisburg, no, from Charlotte

into South Bend, Indiana. More of this later.

Well, yeah, at first the plane was filled with monks and Notre Dame professors working on papers.

But my seatmate was a fellow who delivers recreational vehicles from Elkhart, Indiana, which is right next to South Bend, to dealerships all across the country.

So he's constantly on the road and back again.

And interestingly enough, he told me that he sees no diminution in the manufacture of RVs.

I would have thought seasonally they would be slowing down. I would have thought,

you know, given stories we hear about the reluctance of consumers to overspend or to make

big capital purchases that manufacturing would have slowed down, but you know, this fellow
