Summary

1. Glennon makes a “pod-pology”—and why we should stop saying, “I can’t imagine.” 2. Amanda makes the case for no longer praising people as “superheroes”—and why we should stop giving them lip service and bring them a sandwich instead. 3. How we abandon things we love because the environments surrounding them are unbearable—and how to recreate the environment and reclaim what we love. 4. Amanda’s reaction to her new role opening up on the podcast—and how she feels like the very intimate stories she shares are “not personal at all.” To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices. Thanks for that. It's all we can do, right? Just keep showing up. Abby, Amanda, thank you for

0:19.4

showing up. Did you want to say something? Because that was kind of like a prompt, right? I was

0:26.5

thinking you're welcome or, you know, you're my boss. Yeah, thank you for showing up. Do we

And you're here voluntarily. This is the best part of my day. I'll tell you even though we talk

about, you know, infidelity and anxiety and depression and trauma, you'll be unsurprised to learn.

0:53.3

It's the highlight of my day, because the rest actually is the anxiety and the trauma.

heavy things. Do you agree with that? Or do you actually think that your life has gotten worse

1:14.4

since we've made you start talking about this is a good question actually.

1:18.9

Sister, because you used to just go so fast that you never really gave yourself time to stop

1:25.1

and think about all this crap. So now you are welcome to my world where I don't, I go very slow

1:31.3

and only think about this. So how is it going for you? Well, two things about that. First,

1:40.3

I feel my friend wrote to me recently and said, well, how is it going to be on the podcast?

1:47.7

And I feel like what it did is it made life and self analysis. Part of my job description,

2:03.1

therefore I started paying attention to it. So it was like this force contemplation period

2:09.5

where I had to sit and think about things in order to have anything to say. And then I realized

2:15.3

that I had not prioritized thinking about very unfire things in my life because it wasn't

2:22.5

part of my to-do list. And so putting that on the to-do list, I feel like really helped me

2:30.8

to see how it's like I viewed everything as zero sum game. Like if I put extra time into life,
