Well, it's weird because it's weird because any other artist,

this would be regarded as an all-time classic

masterpiece of melody and lyrics, but because it's John Lennon, the eternal rebel, the voice

of truth, a lot of people look down their noses at it. There's a lot of snobbery about

imagining. On the one hand, you've got people singing it all around the world

looking for, I don't know, peace and beauty in life. On the other hand, you've got people

going, oh, imagine no possessions. He had two hats, you know. Yeah. So there's that. It's the

line that stuck with him, isn't it? So this is John's second proper album, I guess, after the previous year's John Lennon Placitona band.
