Welcome back to the morning mindset. I'm Carrie Green. Thanks for joining me this morning.

Who am I? I'm just a brother in Christ. I have been honored to serve as a pastor in churches across the United States in various places,

but right now I'm just living my life as an entrepreneur, I'm living my life with my family,

building a business, doing what it seems the Lord is guiding me

to do day today. And I'm doing the morning mindset because I care about the people

of God. I care about my brothers and sisters in Christ out there and I

want to do what I can, what the gifts God has given me to encourage you in the

Lord. That's my motive. That's why I do this. And so I'm hopeful that these morning mindsets have been helpful to you.

yesterday about the responsibility that we as believers in Christ have to set our minds. That's the phrase that the

Apostle Paul uses in Colosha chapter 3 verse number 2. He says set your minds

on things that are above, not on things that are above,

not on things that are on the earth.

You see, we have a responsibility

to put our thinking in a certain place. It's not that we just react and respond to the situations around us and we become

knee-jerk kind of people who do what feels best in the situation.

In fact, that's what Paul is trying to negate here, is the power of just reacting.

He wants believers in Christ to understand that our place in this world is one of

reasoned response based on the truth that God reveals to us. Notice what he says in verse number two. Set your minds where on things that

are above not on things that are on the earth. So if I could give a loose paraphrase of that, he's saying put your

minds on the truth as God sees it. That's things that are above. You want to look
