Hey, everyone, in this short episode, I want to talk real estate strategy, specifically for those

0:12.6

of you who earn a lot of money. And so I want to talk about why the more you earn,

0:17.2

the simpler your real estate investing strategy should be. And I want to start off by telling you

0:22.4

a story from my college days when I played football. And I use a lot of football analogies,

0:27.6

so I apologize if this isn't your thing, but I think in sports, I used to play a team called

0:32.5

Florida State University. I played at Clemson University. I was a linebacker there.

0:36.6

When I played at Clemson, Florida State was the best team in the country. They were always number one, number two, number three, number three, number three players in the country. They always had the number one or two or three recruiting class in the country. So that's the context for us going in to play against them. And what I noticed, I used to study a lot of film. I was a linebacker

0:55.1

on the defensive part of Clemson's team. So we would study film on Florida State. And it was really

1:00.7

interesting, the plays they ran were super simple compared to some of the other teams we played,

1:06.8

like Duke University and Wake Forest and some other teams in the ACC, very simple plays

1:12.4

compared to the very complex formations and plays that these other teams would run.

1:16.5

And you know why they did that?

1:18.3

Because they didn't need to be complex.

1:20.8

They didn't need to get fancy.

1:22.6

They had really good players.

1:24.2

Their wide receivers were the most athletic, the best route runners, caught the ball the

1:28.9

best, their quarterback could throw the ball really well. So what their strategy was, was we are fast,

1:34.7

we are good, and we're just going to run simple plays and execute them really, really well. And they

1:40.5

won championships doing that. And I was always so impressed by that and I really stuck with me

1:45.5

and it applies very well to real estate investing. And so having talent, having the ability to invest

1:53.2

often means you just have a lot of money to invest. And I was not that way when I first started.

1:58.5

When I first started, I graduated from college when I played football. I didn't have any college debt, but I didn't have any income. I was
