0:28.8	conings dam yeah they're brand new ship in fact uh just launched like i think we're on the third
0:34.4	sailing right now uh it was built in 2016 and 2015. I believe the
0:38.8	Kew was late in late 2014. It's a 99,500 ton ship. So it's only 500 gross registered
0:47.1	tons from being a larger class ship, still qualified as a medium class ship. It holds 2,650
0:54.0	passengers. And Holland America has really stepped up the game on this ship. We're going to talk to the cruise director a little later on on the program. I'll also get some passenger commentary. Talk to a long time Holland American cruiser, Vanessa. She's standing by it and talked to us in just a little bit. But first, we have the hotel director, Don, who is in charge of this amazing ship,
1:11.9	such a beautiful ship, too, by the way. And we'll talk all about it here in just a little bit.
1:15.9	Don, welcome to this show. Our first question for you is your position, the hotel director.
1:19.8	Now, when people think of a hotel director, they automatically think of hotel rooms, but really
1:24.8	your job far exceeds that.
1:27.0	Yeah, hotel director actually basically sees everything that happens in the hotel,
1:30.4	from the entertainment to the bars, to the food, to the restaurants, you know, all these
1:35.1	things that happen, but also including ordering the supplies that we need for the ship
1:39.1	so that we can actually provide you with a plate with food.
1:42.8	And, you know, it's not just the room.
1:46.0	It's everything, just making sure that everything runs into the whole guest experience is a wonderful one.
1:51.0	You have over a thousand crew members on here.
