Summary

Today, we are talking about threading. Threading is a procedure where temporary sutures are used to produce a tiny lift in the skin for a more youthful appearance. The final results of your thread lift will be noticeable within one to two months after treatment. There are three man types of threads that are currently on the market: Polydioxanone (PDO), Polylactic acid (PLA) and Polycarprolactone (PCA). PDO threads are the most popular type of thread because it is made of a biodegradable polymer. The best candidates for thread lifts are people who are younger than 55 and who do not want to go under the knife for a traditional surgical face lift.

will look like after healing in four to six weeks. That's when we truly see what a threadlift

looks like. So when you're looking at threadlift results, be a little bit skeptical because we

1:22.9

want to evaluate the true result not swelling. Mostly, you'll see some immediate traction. Thread lifts

will give you about two millimeters to three millimeters of lift and support of the tissues. If we're

1:36.1

lucky, up to four millimeters, five millimeters, I think that is stretching it, but maybe in the best

hands with the strongest threads, that could happen.

There are three main types of threads currently available on the market.

Polydioxinone or Pediothreads, polylactic acid or PLA threads, and polycarprolactone, PCA threads.
