| 0:06.2 | this morning by telling you a funny kind of little story that was told to be once |
| 0:10.6 | by a friend in one of our church families where we were attending. |
| 0:14.7 | She was experiencing some health issues that some of which were related to stress in her life. |
| 0:21.7 | And the doctor asked her as part of his diagnosis |
| 0:24.4 | process how much stress do you have in your life and she was telling them about all |
| 0:29.0 | these situations that were going on in her life and he said well I think you need to do everything you can |
| 0:35.2 | to reduce all stress in your life and she just looked at him with that deer |
| 0:40.6 | and headlights look and she said, should I kill myself now, |
| 0:44.0 | or do you want to do it? |
| 0:46.0 | You see, the point she's making is a very valid one. |
| 0:49.0 | We all experienced stress, |
| 0:51.0 | and it definitely feels to us like we cannot eliminate all stress from our life. |
| 0:55.6 | Now I'm here to tell you I'm one who struggles with this as well. In fact I'm |
| 0:59.6 | becoming aware more and more of the ways in which I experience what we call stress. |
| 1:06.2 | It's the pressure we feel internally because of external circumstances. |
| 1:12.4 | It may be situations that are going on, it may be responsibilities |
| 1:15.9 | that we carry or face. It may be tough conversations that elicit some kind of emotional response in us and it creates a |
| 1:25.0 | physical manifestation in our bodies that is also an emotional thing |
| 1:30.0 | that's called stress that's what we call it. And stress is something that does have an impact on us |
| 1:36.2 | both emotionally, physically and I would say as well spiritually. And I'm here to tell, because of the truth of what Jesus Christ has done in our lives, |
| 1:46.5 | we can stress no more. |
