0:29.7	When I went to Somalia, I went on my own. But that was our first indication that something was wrong.
0:33.8	At the time, the pirates were in charge. We got into the car, headed for the hotel. and about halfway there was a battle wagon. We agreed on a price for security, but the guard team didn't show up for work that morning. And then they fired into the air. I'm like, oh, fuck, it's going to be horrible. I was captured alone. They pulled me out. They beat me on my scalp. They broke my wrist. A week after my kidnapping, Mohamed Garfanzhi, kind of a legendary pirate boss. said, you have to demand $20 million or we'll start to starve you in 24 hours. And I said, that's insane. And after that, the Somalis said, stop the focals. For a year and a half, I didn't hear from the outside world at all. That night, they took us to kind of a cave at the top of a valley when a ship appeared on the horizon. It was a hostage ship. The captain had been killed, and his body was in the freezer. How long were you on this boat for?
1:14.6	Six months. Oh my god. That was a feeling of death on the ship. Did you try to escape again? This is my chance. There's some sharks in that there. There are sharks. And either I was going to die or, with any luck, get for you. So what happened? What's up, guys? Just a quick note about this episode.
