You guys welcome back to another episode of Beyond the Blinds. It is me Troy McEady and Kelly Williams.

And today's episode is going to be really fun. For one thing, I'm just going to start by saying that no matter what we read about this person, I will like them after.

Because we're human people and we have bias opinions about celebrities.

As you may have learned. And we're talking about Rihanna today.

What are your thoughts about Rihanna?

So Rihanna is always in my like top Spotify playlist. I love her music. I love her just like smoking weed, rolling blunts on bodyguards heads. I like that vibe.

But reading her blinds, I was really, really surprised. I was like, I guess I'm not as big as big of a Rihanna fan as I thought I was because I don't know anything about her.

Well, she does a really good job, especially in more recent years of like, I mean, really keeping her private life private. Like Rihanna is really not that girl who's like, you know, splashed across every magazine.

You know, aside from like for what she's wearing for sure. And before I ask your opinion on her, I want your opinion on my opinion. Okay.

So after reading her blind items, I'm not going to say it was exactly like Whitney Houston, but they were so similar from the voice to the drug use to the the men in her life. I was shocked.

No, I get that. I actually agree with that. Like the, you know, the whole like bad boy thing and her being like the princess who's too good for the bad boy that she won't like go of. Right.

You know, her allegedly, you know, I don't know if people know this or not, but like a huge part of Rihanna's blind item story is that she lost her voice.

And that her team like doesn't want people to know that she like can physically can't sing anymore, which was, you know, obviously reminds you of Whitney for sure.

And even her best friend who she might be hooking up with, that's always there. Even that part I was like, that is so Whitney Houston.

Right. Totally. Absolutely. Yeah. I love that comparison. You know, Whitney's influence is like all over the place. I love, I love that.

Now, what are your Rihanna thoughts?

I just think that she's the fucking coolest. Like, you know, I think that Rihanna is so interesting.

In the sense that like, I can't think of any other pop star who's been around for as long that has never really had like a miss. Yeah.

Rihanna's never really released like what you would consider an unsuccessful single. She's never had a flop album.
