It's the epitome of arrogance to suggest that human beings will work together and arrive at a peaceful

solution to the problems of humanity. There is nothing in human history that

suggests we have ever done that. The only thing that will do that is God

transforming the hearts of human beings from the inside out.

And that's the message of the church.

I believe God brought our nation into existence. I know there were individuals involved in that story,

but I don't believe the United States of America

is a result of something that was just in the hearts of men and women.

I think it reflects a purpose from God.

I don't think that's unique to our nation, but I think it's unmistakably a part of our story.

And on the anniversary of 9-11, it seemed important that we remember for our young people.

Those in high school and below, they don't have a memory of that, which makes the rest of us feel really old.
