Gerard Robert Batten Clay, born September 9, 1970, in Bournemouth, England, married the love of his life, Allison June Dickie on August 23, 1997.

The couple lived in wedded bliss, later adding children to their family in Brookfield, Queensland.

Everything seemed perfect. That was until it wasn't.

On April 20, 2012, at 7.15 a.m., Gerard called police to report that Allison was missing.

He told investigators that his wife sometimes went out for a walk around 5 a.m. but was

always back in time for his daughter's breakfast.

However, on this morning, she failed to return.

On April 23rd, the police were taking the disappearance extremely seriously and had set up an incident

room dedicated to her safe return. Public pleas were made by not just Gerard, but Allison's parents.

They told the possible abductor that she had children who loved her and needed their mother
