Welcome to That's What She Said with Sarah Spain, a podcast about, well whatever the hell I want,

and my dilemma is I'm worried my son won't have clean water in 50 years. So I don't know a ton

about drinking water issues in America, but I do know that the Clean Water Crisis goes well

beyond Flint, Michigan. Recent report has 2.2 million Americans living without clean drinking water,

and it just saw a pretty compelling and smart look at it. I just want to aspect of it really in

the American West from last week to night. It was the episode from June 26th, John Oliver looking

at water issues in the West. I have no solutions. I find myself once again hoping that some of our

best minds are on this problem along with many other problems, and that they're listened to.

Because I think one of the great plagues of our country right now is a turn towards anti-intellectualism,

a distrust of or rejection of experts, and valuing the opinions of the every man is the same. We're

more accurately the loudest platformed every man over those that are doing the work in using

science and research and facts to back up their policy suggestions or their advocacy.

So yeah, I fear for your son and for everyone else's kids, my niece is a nephew. For reasons

beyond water, that is one of them. But for instance, another mass shooting. This time it was in Highland

Park, Illinois, which is the town right next to my hometown where I grew up. It's a place where my
