Not so – in fact, learning to overcome struggle is one of the most important lessons any kid can get. Listen in and I’ll tell you on how I tried to raise productive, compassionate kids. 0:53.6	I prayed every day that they would find a struggle that they would have in life, why?
0:58.4	Because I learned all of my lessons by struggling and finding solutions to the problems I encountered.
1:04.8	But of course, if you're a kid that has parents that have the means to protect you, take care
1:09.6	of you, introduce you to everything, make sure your position in life is secure.
1:15.2	They don't hit a lot of struggle, and that's a problem.
1:18.7	And guess what, God hurt my prayers.
1:22.1	When both Tommy and Kate were born by first grade, I knew they were dyslexic, and they
1:26.9	were going to struggle for the rest of their life learning to read and write.
