Summary

In this episode, I talk about how your identity shapes your behavior. I got into this after asking ChatGPT what it thinks my identity is based on how I’ve used it. The answer surprised me and made me think about myself, and about how AI picks up on what we put out. I’m using what it said about me to help you understand what your digital footprint might be saying about you. This isn’t just about tech, it’s about self-awareness and how the world (online and offline) sees you. Work on your game. Work on your game. Work on your game. This is Drey Baldwin. And work on your game is the system that turns discipline into dominance. Today's topic is how identity shapes your behavior. Now, where this episode is coming

0:25.2

from is I was, as I've been talking to you all about AI, and I've been using an AI app, many of you

0:31.7

are familiar with called Chat, GPT. And I was in the midst of getting some information from GPT on a certain topic around identity,

0:40.7

and I wasn't even planning on using it for this show that you are listening to right here.

0:45.2

But in the process of that conversation, I was asking about other things,

0:50.4

some things were coming up that got me curious.

0:52.6

So I just asked it out of, I guess, a bit of

0:55.6

perversity, but also just to find out what it was going to say. I asked chat TPTs to offer some

1:00.8

description of my identity as best it could tell, given the material that I have given it already,

1:07.0

given how I've been using it, and the things that I have tended to ask it for and ask it about,

1:13.1

because I use it pretty consistently. So it has a good amount of info on me, at least what it can

1:17.9

remember. And I found its response to be enlightening, not just for me, but also for you,

1:22.7

not as a personal indulgence of who I am, but to help you understand a few things.

1:27.0

One, the artificial intelligence is just that. It is artificially intelligent, meaning it is picking up on your signals and your behaviors and longing things about you. More things about you, the more that you use it. So the more you use it, the more it kind of picks up on who you are and what you're about, which is a good thing because it's like an extra set of

1:44.3

eyes and ears and brains for you. And if you want to know why your social media algorithm

1:49.3

for example seems to be so plugged in on what you might click on next, this is why? Because

1:54.4

social media algorithms are based on artificial intelligence. They basically looks at all the data

1:58.2

that it can gather from you and the things it sees you doing and it makes an educated guess as to what you might be interested in based on the

2:05.6

things you've already shown interest in and the inclinations you have shown so far compared to

2:11.1

other people who are similar to you and what they have shown response to. And that's how they

2:14.8

throw things at you to decide what might get your attention and what might not. And another reason is, as you continue to use artificial intelligence,
