Summary

In this episode, I’m talking about something a lot of people say to me: “It’s not that easy.” And you know what? I agree with them. It’s not supposed to be easy, that's the whole point. I’ve had all kinds of people say this to me over the years, and today I’m explaining why that phrase actually proves why the work matters in the first place. Show Notes:  [02:02]#1 The third law of economics.  [08:44]#2 If it were easy, everyone would be doing it and everyone will have it and thus it would not be valuable.  [17:29]#3 The fact that it's not easy is not a reason to stay away from a thing.  [24:56]Recap Episodes Mentioned: 3261: The First 3 Laws Of Economics 1025: The Opportunity Is In The Opposites Next Steps: --- 🎓 Work On Your Game University: http://www.WorkOnYourGameUniversity.com  📧 Get Dre’s Emails FREE:  http://WorkOnMyGame.com  🤖 Use The FREE “Dre GTP 1.0” ChatBot: Https://www.DreAllDay.com/AI  📲 Text Dre Baldwin: Text Dre at 1.305.384.6894 (or go to http://www.DreAllDay.com/Text) 🟢 Sponsor: AG1 by Athletic Greens: http://drinkAG1.com/WORKONYOURGAME  💦 Sponsor: AquaTru - $100 Off Any Purifying Filter Http://WorkOnYourGame.com/AT 🎧 Free Audiobooks:  The Third Day: http://www.ThirdDayBook.com/audible The Mirror Of Motivation: http://www.MirrorOfMotivation.com/audible 📚 The Free Books: The Third Day: http://ThirdDayBook.com  The Mirror Of Motivation: http://MirrorOfMotivation.com The Sales Discipline System: http://SalesDisciplineBook.com  The Overseas Basketball Blueprint: http://BallOverseas.com  Basketball: How To Play As Well As You Practice: http://HoopHandbook.com/Free  💵 Support:  CashApp: http://Cash.app/$DreBaldwin  Be sure to Subscribe to have each new episode sent directly to you daily! So the real question here is not whether or not if something it has a cost or if it's difficult. The question is if you're willing to pay the cost. That's the actual question. Don't tell me how difficult something is. Just tell me if you're willing to pay for it. Work on your game. Work on your game. Work on your game. This is Drey Baldwin. You are listening to Work on Your Game. Today's topic is, it's not that easy. That is a quote, open quote, it is not that easy, close quote. And my response to that is exactly. That's the topic here today. It is not that easy. Exactly. Now, this episode is about a phrase. I just told you what it is. It's not that easy. This is a phrase that I've had many people say to me over the years.

0:43.7

From basketball players to coaches, whether athletic coaches or business coaches, to agents or would-be agents in the sports world I've talked to, to entrepreneurs of all different

0:56.9

types, to professional speakers, to authors of books, and everyone in between in any industry

1:03.2

that I have not mentioned. I've had all different types of people say this to me, after which

1:07.8

they had asked me some question about some issue that they were trying to resolve

1:13.0

and I offered them some form of a solution or at least pointed them in the direction of a solution.

1:18.6

I would often get the pushback from people after giving them the answers to the question that

1:23.3

they asked. They would say something like, Dre, it's not that easy. It's not as easy as the way you said it.

1:31.0

It's not as easy as what you have explained to me. I've had this said to me again by many people over

1:36.3

the years. I am here to let you know in today's episode, which I will explain in detail. I'm going to let you

1:42.7

know that I very much understand and have understood when people say it's not that easy. I'm going to let you know that I very much understand and have understood when people

1:46.8

say it's not that easy. I agree with you that it's not that easy. That's the point. And today

1:51.8

I'm going to explain to you why that's the point that it ain't that easy. And it substitute that

1:57.3

it for whatever you're trying to do right now.'s not that easy i know i agree and let me

2:01.5

tell you why i agree point number one today's topic once again is it's not that easy number one

2:07.0

the third law of economics by now all of you should know what it is everything has a cost there is no

2:12.5

such thing as a free lunch episode 3261 third of, everything has a cost. So every time I've had

2:18.8

someone tell me that something is not that easy. You know what they immediately follow up that

2:23.2

statement with? You want to guess? Just think about it. Think about any aspect of your life in which

2:28.4

you have been told or shown something that could be done and the person explaining it makes it sound really simple, really easy. Marketers are pretty good at this. Making whatever they're selling you sound really, really easy and really, really, really simple. That's part of the job. You got to make it sound simple, because if it sounds like work, nobody's going to sign up. But if it sounds easy, people will sign up. So I just saw a friend of mine today, a post here put on social media. I don't know if if there's an ad or a post. It was like a post, but he should make it into an ad because it was actually very well done. He was showing off his living space and showing that he has this view and that view and this balcony and showing these things off. And he said, well, the reason I'm able to have these things is because I used to do my business this way. Now I'd do business this way. And if you want to do business like me,

3:10.9

so you can, and he didn't say this, but you want to essentially what he was alluding to. If you want to live the way that I appear to be living in this video, all you got to do is the same thing that I'm doing. All you got to do is leave this comment and then I'll send you a link and get into my

3:07.4

program, et cetera, et cetera. It was a sales pitch is what it was. And I know from firsthand experience, not with this individual person, but from firsthand experience, that no program is that simple to get from wherever the average person is to where he is purporting to be, that it ain't that simple. It's never that simple. But again, in marketing, you have to make it sound simple, otherwise you won't sell anything. So anyway, the third law of economics is that everything has a cost. Now, that doesn't mean that the guy's line. It doesn't mean that you cannot become successful like him. Hopefully, whatever he's teaching, it actually works if you follow it. But is it as simple as he made a sound of video? Of course not. The video is like two minutes long. So did he take him two minutes to get there?
