I sat down with Jamie, the storefront guy to talk about bringing beautiful design to small towns, to strong small towns, and to bring a Bitcoin standard to these small businesses

to these small towns.

It's a great conversation.

Jamie's from Ecuador.

We talked about hyperinflation in Ecuador 20 years ago, what that was like, how

the lingering after effects are still

there today, how he's seeing some similar trends here in the U.S. now that he lives here and is

paying close attention to the economy, the monetary system, and the government's reaction

to losing control, essentially. I think the shining

message here is that we need to bring beauty back to the world and we need more and more people

to realize that trying to control complex systems in the top down fashion is simply untenable

in the long run. It does not work. We need to give power

back to individuals and grassroots movements and have these complex systems evolve as they should

granularly and locally and letting local decision makers make decisions based off of local information, not some people in a stuffy

room trying to micromanage things while being completely disconnected from that information

on the ground. Incredible episode, and Jamie's doing some incredible things again to make small businesses stronger, to make small towns stronger and to do that via good design, urban design and incorporating Bitcoin into these local economies.
