Even though nursing is THE most trusted profession, you may be surprised to learn that academic misconduct occurs at the same rate amongst nursing students as it does other academic disciplines. One reason for this is that cheating goes beyond just getting “extra help” on an exam, and students may not recognize other aspects of academic dishonesty as actual cheating. The reason cheating is such a big deal in nursing school is that it’s not just the student who suffers. Ultimately, patient safety is at stake. 1:20.7	and your role with ATI. So Dr. Karen Taylor, let's start with you.
1:26.0	Sure. My background as far as nursing practice is in maternal newborn and community health.
1:34.1	And then I did that for years.
1:38.3	We're not gonna talk about how many.
1:41.1	And then moved into the classroom setting. I taught at the LPN, RN level. I also taught at the graduate level, done clinical.
1:50.0	Then recently about four years ago, retired from that and moved over to work for
1:55.2	ATI and I work as a nursing education consultant really more on the faculty
2:01.9	side with faculty development, curriculum development and
2:06.4	accreditation.
