Teresa Russell just returned back from a seven-night sailing aboard Holland America's Amsterdam, and she's on the line right now. Hello, Teresa. Hi, Doug. How are you? Good, good. So, yeah, all about the Amsterdam. Now, this is not to be confused with their newer ship, the new Amsterdam, right? Correct. Yeah, this is kind of a little, a little bit of an older-class ship, but excited to hear all about it.

So before we get to the ship itself, let's take a step back.

And what made you want to sail the Amsterdam?

Well, actually, I originally started cruising mostly with Holland America.

Okay.

And I just happened to be in Portland, Oregon.

And I booked this cruise a week before it left.

So I thought, hey, I can just take the bus up there, the train.

I have to worry about flights and why not go?

And it also had Sitka on the itinerary, and I had never been to Sitka.

Okay.

So that was a real draw for me.

Yeah, win-win.

So you go from Portland up to Seattle and you board the ship.

So how was embarkation in Seattle?

How was it for you?

It went very smoothly.

We got there early.

We took the boat bus up from Portland, which I highly recommend.

It's a straight shot from Portland to Seattle to Union Station.
