So we are studying the Mandukya Karika.

And not only have we completed the first chapter, but we have also completed the second of four chapters.

So we are at the very end of the second chapter.

It's a hard text, a difficult text and not so

much that not any intricacy there are other takes with texts which are much more

intricate but the things which it talks about are at the same time

elevating sublime and profoundly disturbed also.

So, especially the second chapter which talks about the falsity of the world, the appearance

nature of the world, which is necessary in order to prove the non-duality of Brahman.

Not to, means that the world which appears, which seems to be clearly pluralistic, clearly dualistic, must be in some sense an appearance.

So that is what the second chapter of the Mandukya Karika deals with, using logic reasoning based on experience, to demonstrate how we can think of this world as an appearance.

The last four verses 35 onwards are very beautiful. They talk about the spiritual implication of the whole chapter.
