One of my mentors used to say,

don't be the first or the last to do a new idea.

Before Facebook, before Myspace, before Friendster, there was that.

I'll tell you a cool little rule.

One of my mentors yesterday sent me an email,

Dr. David Bus.

It's called the rule of 100s.

So it's different pieces of advice where

percentage is add up to 100.

So it's been 70% of your time on stuff that works now,

20% of time on things that you are pretty sure will work,

but don't necessarily, you've never done,

and spend 10% of your time on stuff that's just crazy hair-brained ideas.

So some of you, you get these ideas like,

I don't know if virtual reality is going to replace social media.

That's somebody's theory, but theories are often wrong.

If you look in the last 100 years,

theories are usually wrong.

So what I do, spend 70%, that's what I'm saying.

People are forgetting right now that

Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube can make you rich.

You know?
