option. Now for today's topic. ADHD and adults among the most impairing outpatient disorders seen in clinical practice.

ADHD is viewed as a disorder of self-regulation and executive function. The condition has an adverse effect on family functioning,

self-care and independence, education, peer relationships,

sexual activities, driving, money management, occupational functioning,

antisocial behavior, substance abuse, marriage, and child rearing, among others. As you can see it affects every facet of one's life.

ADHD expert Russell Barclay will discuss the latest research on how to meet all of these challenges.

Dr. Barclay is the clinical professor of psychiatry at the Virginia Commonwealth

University Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia.

He is a clinical scientist, educator, and practitioner who has published 26 other books, rating scales, and clinical

manuals numbering more than 43 editions.
