Hey everyone, and welcome back to Big Mad True Crime, where we get Big Mad over True Crime.

I'm your host, Heather Ashley, and today you'll be hearing part two of the Donna Winger and Roger Harrington case.

0:14.0

Small talk sucks, as always, so let's dive in.

0:34.1

Music So let's dive in. In part one, we met Donna Winger, who was a kind and compassionate woman who had finally become a mother

0:41.4

after years of struggling through infertility. But just three months after bringing her baby girl Bailey home,

0:49.5

Donna was brutally murdered in what appeared to be a home invasion gone wrong. Her husband Mark Winger told

police that he shot the intruder, Roger Harrington, in self-defense, after finding him

which was the shuttle service that Roger had worked for,

1:47.0

but that move backfired big time because Bart launched its own investigation, and they didn't

1:54.1

believe Mark either. By the end of part one, Mark had remarried and welcomed three children,

2:03.5

cut Donna's family out of Bailey's life,

2:09.5

and built a picture-perfect future with his new wife, which was the nanny he hired after Donna was killed. Everything seemed to be lining up in Mark's favor, but behind the scenes,

2:17.0

the truth was starting to unravel, because in March of 1999,

2:21.8

nearly four years after Donna's murder, a woman named Deanne came forward with information that would

2:28.8

blow this entire case wide open.
