Hey everyone and welcome to Wire Talk with Karen Stubbs. I'm sunny I'm your

host today and I'm here with the delightful Karen herself. How are you today

Karen? I'm doing good. How about you, Sunny? I'm good. We will have just dropped Bobby off for his probably like fifth year of summer

camp this year.

Yeah, he does.

Yeah, it's such a great camp.

It is. Is that the one a few weeks ago? The moms were saying that 5 a..m that's what I think it was because I know I was and it was a hot mess I love you John but it was a hot mess. Well yes he was waitlisted for the week that we were trying to get in and so I registered to him for another week instead, but then they just called me and they were like, okay, he's off the wait list, we put him in and I was like, wait, hold on time out right just be moving people yeah so

yeah so I gotta take care of that just reminded myself of that but yeah so this is like his

favorite week of the year oh I heard it's a great camp.

It is a great camp for sure.

But it's this whole idea, especially for Bobby,

because he's surrounded by girls and women all the time. It just gives him a chance to be somewhere where he can be brave and try new things and really forge connections with other boys.

And so it's always been a big deal for him to go and he always try he

always try something new even though he's scared to try something you know

and so it's always like when so when when we think he's not going to get in then that's when I'm like oh no he's gonna that's but that's his window like that's his like a window you. And at some point, I don't think it will have happened by now, but next month, I believe in July, he's testing for his black belt.

That's exciting. Yeah, he was going to test back in March and then after like the last, like the week before the black belt test was a last, his last panel test which was like any last little things to tweak or really work on and he just

left that particular test with zero confidence and I was like you just got to go tell

your coach and he was so he like he was so afraid to do it because he was like they're going to be
