We talk about how the distinction of Henri de Lubac collapses the distinction of “nature and grace” and how this both “supernaturalized all things and actions” and at the same time “secularized Catholicism.” It’s an important Thomistic and Traditional distinction that must be appreciated. Taylor also discusses how De Lubac’s Jesuit theology infuses how Pope Francis sees Liberation Theology and “bottom-up” authority and Tim questions whether that’s actually the case or part of the Marxist method of authority and revolution.
