Hello and welcome back to Control or Delete. This episode is a recording of a Waterstones event

that I did with Abigail Dean. We did it online on Zoom, and now I'm reposting the audio for

everyone else to listen to. Abigail Dean, the author of Girl A, was formerly a Waterstones

bookseller. She spent five years as a lawyer in London, and then she took the summer of 2018

off work to write her debut novel, and Girl A really is one of the biggest books of 2021.

It's everywhere. It's brilliant. I really enjoyed it. It's such a good thriller that you will

not put down the minute you start reading it. She works as a lawyer for Google still,

and she is currently writing her second novel called The Conspiracies Alongside Her Job,

and we talk all about writing, how to fit in writing around your work,
