Thinking Basketball podcast. My name is Ben. And today it is that time of year. The seventh annual thinkies are defensive awards where we sit around for a while and try to figure out who the best offenders are in the

NBA. It's, it's, first of all, I can't believe this is our seventh year doing it. Secondly,

even with the advancements in technology in the world, like artificial intelligence is close

to a singularity, it's sitting around talking at night about how it's trapped in a computer and,

and, you know, God

knows what it's going to do next.

We still can't make this process easier.

Cody, it feels like evaluating defense is just as hard as it was seven years ago.

Maybe we have a few extra tools now, which is nice.

But man, a lot of great defenders this year in all the categories we're going to go through our big six

categories that we've whittled down over the years and uh that's it we just we just jump in

i'm sure there's a preamble i need to get to but i know you're rearing to go i think man it's so

tough because you do want to do the preamble, but at the end of the day,

we should just get into categories and I think start going from there. Otherwise, you and, like,

you and I get into a preamble off, Ben, like we're able to preamble with the best of, I don't

know if anyone, Ben, can preamble, like we can preamble. So I would say maybe we, we try and skip the preamble so that we can avoid what's happening right now.

Yes, the meta commentary that's happening right now is basically turtles all the way down.

We're in some sort of infinite regression.

And I don't know how we're going to pop out of it.

I think the only thing we can do is jump right in.

I mean, we are running our mouths and things are happening.

We're talking about infinities three minutes into the show.
