0:00.0 | Porn for Radio episode 312. Hey, this is Matt. I'm recording this at the end of July |
0:05.5 | 2023 and I'm re-releasing a classic PFR episode on automatic thoughts. So we focus a lot about |
0:16.4 | triggers in recovery, avoiding them, reducing them, anticipating them. But our thoughts, |

0:31.3 | And so this classic episode, which was recorded in October of 2019, is all about becoming |
0:36.6 | aware of our thoughts and more importantly |

0:45.9 | there's some open spots in 2019. And just so you know, there's some open spots right now in |
0:52.0 | 2023. To get information about Rev, go to Recoveredman.com slash Rev. |
0:58.0 | That's Recoveredman.com slash REV. |
1:01.5 | All right. |

1:30.6 | popcorn is what comes to mind. It's such a strong association with the experience of going to the |
1:38.4 | movies. Think about it. When you walk into the building, you smell the popcorn, you hear them making it. |
1:45.8 | You see it, of course, because you have to pass the candy counter in order to get to your theater. |
1:52.8 | Those are what we call triggers. |
1:55.2 | Now, triggers sometimes are negative when you talk about them in recovery, but they're just props. |
2:01.2 | You know, there's this, there's this experience, these things that remind us of popcorn |
2:05.5 | when we walk into the movie theater. |
