Matt Gless of Mesa Arizona. Matt has drawn the Sportsman's tag I believe for the Zion unit is that correct in Utah is it

unit specific Matt or is it statewide?

No it's for the Zion unit, Alma.

From what I understand, the Zion unit is probably the best unit for desert bighorns in the state of U. the he was asking me about Desert Bighorns and what I thought is that I would record this conversation

so that the listeners, anybody out there that has a Desert bighorn tag in another state might have we might have

some overlapping questions and so I thought it would make a good episode to just record and have Matt ask away and hopefully

we can bring some value not only to Matt but to other people that have bighorn tags across the United States.

So first and foremost, Matt, congratulations on drawing your tag.

It was definitely a exciting moment when I found out.

My wife had to kind of smack me because when I found out you were driving and I saw my name and I was like wait I can't even

believe this here's my phone that really say my name and so, that's incredible.

So Matt, how old are you?

I am 37 years old.

37 and so this tag, correct me if I'm wrong, you had to go up to the Western Hunting Expo

conservation expo and you had to apply or put in I believe it's five dollars

in application and this is the tag you won specifically for the

Zion is that correct?

Yes I drew the it's the non-resident tag only non-residents are able to put in for it at the Expo.

And you do have to show up in order for your entry to be validated and it is $5 per hunt.

And if are you allowed to put more than one application in for that specific hunt?
