The My name is Rachel. I'm from Los Angeles and have recently discovered your Spotify podcast,

0:42.7

and I think I have a story for you and your listeners. You see, back in 2013, I read a book called

1:57.9

a five-night stretch of trail near a place called Tahitapi on the far-western

2:02.7

edges of the Mojave Desert.

2:05.1

I chose this area for three reasons.

2:08.1

First, I loved the section of the book where Cheryl writes about the region.
