I'm Martin Lee, and I go through every EV story that I can find so you don't have to.

We'll start with news of California's EV charging network expanding.

As of today, California just surpassed 150,000 public and shared private electric vehicle charges, they're statewide. But is, is this enough

to meet the growing demand? Well, the state is expected to receive more than $380 million

U.S. dollars from Biden's bipartisan infrastructure law to build additional charges. However,

many EV owners say they need more

charging. To address the issue, California's Energy Commission has approved more than $1 billion in

funding for EV charging, including $3 million for 40 fast chargers across 10 sites in Southern

California, and $5 million to install level two

and fast chargers, bus charging ports, solar voltaic equipment and more as well, including

things like battery storage at the future Olympic venue in Los Angeles. Well, the state is also

working to improve charger reliability. There's new reporting for charger uptime and requirements for publicly funded

EV charging projects to the forthcoming state EV charging reliability regulations to kick in.

Additionally, the state is investing in data collection to better understand where charges are

most needed to track progress in meeting EV charger goals. Sounds like a great story that's coming out of California.

I hope that they get the mix of AC and DC charging, right?

Because as you know, I'm a broken record on this.

DC fast charging is all the sexy stuff that gets the attention.
