Summary

What would Ivy League students do to be on top? Or the better question - what wouldn’t they do? Ling was a chemistry major at the top university in China. The Harvard of China, if you will. One day, Ling went into the shower and saw fist-sized clumps of hair fall to her feet. By the end of the semester - Ling would be wheelchair-bound, unable to speak, unable to use the restroom on her own, completely bald, and nearly blind.
