I'm Blake Smith, and today I'm going to be doing something a little unusual, a little different.

This is kind of a catching up with Monster Talk, and I'm trying to do this as a one-take.

I'm treating this like a giant voicemail to the listeners, so it's not the way I normally do an episode.

And it's extremely grating on my mind because I'm such a perfectionist.

I realize I often really shows with mistakes, but I assure you they bother me really badly.

I don't know why I'm like that. I wish I wasn't, because as commonly said, perfection is the enemy of progress, and that's definitely true in my life.

As you'll hear as I talk through some of the stuff that we've been working on, I tend to have way too many things on the stove cooking at once.

And so delivering all these meals to the table at the same time is impossible.

And just getting them out the door sometimes means they've stewed for months or years, which is crazy.
