We've talked about this too. The greatest areas of influence in my ministry have been the very areas where I look back on my life and I cringe because I've hurt so much.

Suffering that I've experienced in physical pain, wrestling with the theological

implications of that, some abuse that happened in my life.

I was a military kid and I moved every two years and that shapes me and I find that I

accidentally, quote unquote, bump into people that that's happened to them as well or I speak about it

from up front and people go thank you so much because I've never had any opportunity to talk

with anyone or learn from anyone who has been through what I've been through and I'm like oh yeah

you're blessed to be a blessing and while you might look at it as kind of a curse almost in your

life you can use that and and transform it

because that's what god is in the business of doing is transforming those ugly areas to make them areas

of beauty and help others but you but when you're in the middle of it you don't know how god's going to

use it oops excuse me um you um it's hurt it's hurtful yeah it doesn't change the fact that it hurts you don't see yourself

in the future using what you learn to that right right it's just miserable but you hang on and

you trust god and you don't know where you're going you just it's just one moment at a time right

yeah and i think one of the things you can we can help people with is if you understand the Corinthians
