Summary

Those of us who control a patch of land can’t count on there being someplace else for wildlife to find a home. There are too few wild spaces left, so it’s up to each of us to steward our properties in a way that fosters biodiversity. That’s the message shared by my guest this week, gardener, landscape designer and activist Mary Reynolds, the founder of We Are the ARK (Acts of Restorative Kindness).

0:52.3	If you don't know Mary, she has several claims to fame.
0:55.7	She's an internationally acclaimed landscape designer born and raised in Ireland where

1:01.5	Her notoriety in the landscape design world exploded when as a complete unknown Mary
1:06.8	entered and won a gold medal for her garden design at the Royal Horticultural Society's
1:11.7	Chelsea Flowers Show back in 2002.
1:15.5	At the time she was and still is the youngest female designer to ever win a gold medal there.
1:21.2	Her story was made into a movie in 2016 called Dare to Be Wild and you can still watch
1:26.2	that movie today on Amazon Prime.
